1. I am truly the neglectful one,
I am truly the confused one,
١. أَنَا الْمُفَرِّطُ حَقَا
أَنَا الْمُخَلِّطُ صِدْقَا
2. But my Lord is most generous
To those who gain His favor, they shall not suffer,
٢. لَكِنْ تَفَضُّلُ رَبِّي
مَنْ نَالَهُ لَيْسَ يَشْقَى
3. It is the way of the noble to pardon
The sin of those humble and meek,
٣. وَعَادَةُ السَّادَةِ الْعَفْوُ
عَنْ ذَنْبِ مَنْ كَانَ رِقّا
4. How then the Lord of all creation
Vast in sustenance and bounty,
٤. فَكَيْفَ رَبُّ الْبَرَايا
وَوَاسِعُ الْخَلْقِ رِزْقا
5. My hopes in Him are beautiful,
Whoever hopes for grace will attain it.
٥. والظَّنُّ منّي جَمِيلٌ
وَمَنْ رَجا الْفَضْلَ يَلْقَى
