2. By your life, there is none with distress in the caravan, nor
Is there in this district anyone to whom my she-camel is driven

3. So oh prolonged vociferation, is there anyone assisting
And oh prolonged journeying between the wilderness

4. Thus I did not see except one being frank in stupidity
Wandering with it or one being silent in piety

ูŠูŽุทูŠุดู ุจูู‡ุง ุฃูˆ ู…ูุตู’ู…ุชุงู‹ ุจุชูŽู‚ูŠู‘ูŽุฉู

5. This one sees the paths of righteousness before him
So he strives to correct a sickly self

ูฅ. ููŽู‡ูŽุฐุง ูŠูŽุฑูŽู‰ ุทูุฑู’ู‚ ุงู„ุตู‘ูˆุงุจู ุฃู…ุงู…ูŽู‡ู
ููŽูŠูŽุฏุฃุจู ููŠ ุชูŽุตู’ุญูŠุญู ุฐุงุชู ุณูŽู‚ูŠู…ูŽุฉู

6. And that one knows the obvious and is knowledgeable
But does not buy it for a trifle

ูฆ. ูˆูŽู‡ูŽุฐุง ุนูŽู„ููŠู…ูŒ ุจุงู„ุฌูู„ูŠู‘ูŽุฉู ุนุงุฑูููŒ
ูˆู„ูƒูู†ู‘ูŽู‡ู ู„ุง ูŠูŽุดู’ุชุฑููŠู‡ุง ุจูุจูŽูŠู’ุณูŽุฉู

7. So who is for you like the angel driving his soul
With which he arrives wherever the truth has arrived

ูง. ููŽู…ูŽู† ู„ูƒูŽ ุจุงู„ู…ูŽู„ุงู‘ูƒู ู…ูู‚ู’ูˆุฏูŽ ู†ูŽูู’ุณู‡ู
ูŠูŽุญูู„ู‘ู ุจูู‡ุง ุญูŽูŠู’ุซู ุงู„ู’ุญูŽู‚ูŠู‚ูŽุฉู ุญูŽู„ู‘ูŽุชู

8. Emigrating in the love of the fine one his inclination
And cuts in it the rope of every connection

ูˆูŠูŽู‚ู’ุทูŽุนู ููŠู‡ุง ุญูŽุจู’ู„ูŽ ูƒูู„ู‘ู ูˆูŽุตููŠู„ูŽุฉู

9. And distances if the near one desires his separation
And comes close if the tongues of justice have erred

ูฉ. ูˆูŠูŽุจู’ุนูุฏู ุฅู†ู’ ุฑูŽุงู…ูŽ ุงู„ู’ู‚ูŽุฑูŠุจู ููุฑุงู‚ูŽู‡ุง
ูˆูŠูŽู‚ู’ุฑูุจู ุฅู†ู’ ู…ูŽุง ุฃูŽู„ู’ุณูู†ู ุงู„ู’ุนูŽุฐู’ู„ู ู„ูŽุฌู‘ุชู

10. And wears for rebuke an impenetrable coat of mail
And removes from his shoulders the garb of popularity

ูˆูŠูŽู†ู’ุฒูุนู ุนูŽู†ู’ ุฃุนู’ุทุงููู‡ู ุซูŽูˆู’ุจูŽ ุดูู‡ู’ุฑูŽุฉู

11. And casts hopes without twisting
Upon what makes it deviate from the rank of glory

ูกูก. ูˆูŠูŽุทู‘ูŽุฑูุญู ุงู„ุขู…ุงู„ูŽ ุบูŽูŠู’ุฑูŽ ู…ูุนูŽุฑู‘ูุฌู
ุนูŽู„ูŽู‰ ู…ุง ุจูู‡ู ุนูŽู†ู’ ุฑูุชู’ุจูŽุฉู ุงู„ู’ู…ูŽุฌู’ุฏู ุฃู„ู’ู‡ูŽุชู

12. He roams the abodes of life at every moment
And descends in its corners equally

ูˆูŠูŽู†ู’ุฒูู„ู ููŠ ุฃุฑู’ุฌุงุฆู‡ุง ุจุงู„ุณู‘ูŽูˆููŠู‘ูŽุฉู

13. He unloads at the abode of ignorance his belongings
In the morning and comes to his abode at night

ูกูฃ. ูŠูŽุญูุทู‘ู ุจูุฏุงุฑู ุงู„ุจุงู‡ูู„ูŠู‘ูŽุฉู ุฑูŽุญู’ู„ูŽู‡ู
ุตูŽุจูŽุงุญุงู‹ ูˆูŠุฃู’ุชูŠ ุฏูŽุงุฑูŽู‡ู ุจุงู„ุนูŽุดููŠู‘ูŽุฉู

14. He determines a resolve like a sharp sword and an ambition
For the length of time not pleased for it with disgrace

ูกูค. ูŠูุตูŽู…ู‘ูู…ู ุนูŽุฒู’ู…ุงู‹ ูƒุงู„ุญูุณุงู…ู ูˆู‡ูู…ู‘ูŽุฉู‹
ู…ูŽุฏูŽู‰ ุงู„ุฏู‘ูŽู‡ู’ุฑู ู„ุง ูŠูŽุฑู’ุถูŽู‰ ู„ูŽู‡ู ุจุงู„ู…ูŽุฐูŽู„ู‘ุฉู

15. Until he sees the dawn from the paths of guidance
And every darkness vanishes from the caller of desires

ูกูฅ. ุฅู„ูŽู‰ ุฃูŽู†ู’ ูŠูŽุฑูŽู‰ ุงู„ู’ู…ูุจูŠูŽุถู‘ูŽ ู…ูู†ู’ ุทูุฑูู‚ู ุงู„ู’ู‡ูุฏู‰
ูˆุชูŽู†ู’ุฌุงุจูŽ ู…ูู†ู’ ุฏูŽุงุนููŠ ุงู„ู’ู‡ูŽูˆูŽู‰ ูƒูู„ู‘ู ุธูู„ู’ู…ูŽุฉ

16. So he throws down the staff of traveling from the shoulder of youth
And praises what he encountered with it of hardship

ูกูฆ. ููŽูŠูู„ู’ู‚ูŠ ุนูŽุตูŽุง ุงู„ุชู‘ูŽุฑู’ุญุงู„ู ุนูŽู†ู’ ูƒุงู‡ูู„ู ุงู„ุตู‘ูุจุง
ูˆูŠูŽุญู’ู…ุฏูŽ ู…ุง ู„ุงูŽู‚ูŽู‰ ุจูู‡ู ู…ูู†ู’ ู…ูŽุดูŽู‚ู‘ูŽุฉู

17. And relishes what the love of passions made him taste
And thanks his bitterness for eternity

ูกูง. ูˆูŠูŽู„ู’ุชูŽุฐู‘ูŽ ู…ุง ู‚ูŽุฏู’ ู†ูŽุงู„ูŽู‡ู ู…ูู†ู’ ุฃูŽุฐูŽู‰ ุงู„ู’ู‡ูŽูˆูŽู‰
ูˆูŠูŽุดู’ูƒุฑูŽ ู…ูŽุณูŽุฑุงู‡ู ุนูŽู„ูŽู‰ ุงู„ุฃุจูŽุฏููŠู‘ูŽุฉู

18. So every harm in the side of glory is slight
And every defect in its affair is naught but regret

ูกูจ. ููŽูƒู’ู„ู‘ู ุฃูŽุฐู‰ู‹ ููŠ ุฌุงู†ูุจู ุงู„ู’ุบูุฒู‘ู ู‡ูŽูŠู‘ูู†ูŒ
ูˆูƒูู„ู‘ู ุนูŽู†ุงู‹ ููŠ ุดูŽุงู’ู†ูู‡ู ุบูŽูŠู’ุฑู ุญูŽุณู’ุฑูŽุฉู

19. So you are not the son of a freeman if you fear
Cultivating highness which fortunes precluded

ูกูฉ. ููŽู„ูŽุณู’ุชูŽ ุงุจู†ูŽ ุญูุฑู‘ู ุฅู†ู’ ุชูŽู‡ูŽูŠู‘ูŽุจู’ุชูŽ ููŠ ุงู„ู’ุนูู„ุงูŽ
ู…ูŽุชุงู„ูููŽ ุญุงู„ูŽุชู’ ุฏููˆู†ูŽ ุนูุฒู‘ู ูˆุฑููู’ุนูŽุฉู

20. And you are not from the authentic Arabs, whose carpenter
If you do not gain in glory the most profitable deal

ูขู . ูˆู„ูŽุณู’ุชูŽ ู…ูู†ูŽ ุงู„ู’ุนูุฑู’ุจู ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽู…ููŠู…ู ู†ุฌุงุฑูู‡ู
ุฅุฐุง ู„ูŽู…ู’ ุชูŽู†ูŽู„ู’ ููŠ ุงู„ู’ู…ูŽุฌู’ุฏู ุฃูŽุฑู’ุจูŽุญูŽ ุตูŽูู’ู‚ูŽุฉู

21. Does the glorious one accept giving the lowly
And make it one day in place of the lofty?

ูขูก. ุฃูŽูŠูŽุฑู’ุถูŽู‰ ุจุฅุนู’ุทุงุกู ุงู„ุฏู‘ูŽู†ูŠู‘ูŽุฉ ู…ุงุฌูุฏูŒ
ูˆูŠูŽุฌู’ุนูŽู„ูู‡ุง ูŠูŽูˆู’ู…ุงู‹ ู…ูŽูƒุงู†ูŽ ุงู„ู’ุนูŽู„ููŠู‘ูŽุฉู

22. And does he accept from the drink of youth a sip
While the oppressor has grayed with sediment and turbidity?

ูขูข. ูˆูŠูŽู‚ู’ู†ูŽุนู ู…ูู†ู’ ูˆูุฑู’ุฏู ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽุจุงุกู ุจูุดูุฑู’ุจูŽุฉู
ุนูŽู„ู‰ ุงู„ุถู‘ูŽูŠู’ู…ู ุดููŠูŽุจุชู’ ุจุงู„ู‚ูŽุฐูŽู‰ ูˆุงู„ู’ูƒูุฏููˆุฑูŽุฉู

23. And is he satisfied with imitating men declaring
The facilitation of a path for lowness to be blocked?

ูขูฃ. ูˆูŽูŠูŽุฑู’ุถูŽู‰ ุจูุชูŽู‚ู’ู„ููŠุฏู ุงู„ุฑู‘ูุฌุงู„ู ู…ูุตูŽุฑู‘ูุญุงู‹
ุจุณูŽุฏู‘ู ุทูŽุฑููŠู‚ู ุณูู‡ู‘ูู„ูŽุชู’ ู„ู„ู’ุจูŽุฑููŠู‘ูŽุฉู

24. And the door of truth is not blocked from the seeker of guidance
But the bleary eye of the blind one is blocked

ูขูค. ูˆู…ุง ุณูุฏู‘ูŽ ุจุงุจู ุงู„ู’ุญูŽู‚ู‘ู ุนูŽู†ู’ ุทุงู„ูุจู ุงู„ู’ู‡ูุฏูŽู‰
ูˆู„ูƒูู†ู‘ูŽ ุนูŽูŠู’ู†ูŽ ุงู„ุฃูŽุฑู’ู…ูŽุฏู ุงู„ู’ููŽุฏู’ู…ู ุณูุฏู‘ูŽุชู

25. Men like bats whose glow
Appears amid darkness and are blinded at daybreak

ูขูฅ. ุฑูุฌุงู„ูŒ ูƒูŽุฃู…ุซุงู„ู ุงู„ู’ุฎูŽูุงูููŠุดู ุถูŽูˆู’ุคูู‡ุง
ูŠูŽู„ููˆุญู ู„ูŽุฏูŽู‰ ุงู„ุธู„ู‘ูŽู…ู’ุง ูˆุชูŽุนู’ู…ูŽู‰ ุจุถูŽุญู’ูˆูŽุฉู

26. It roams with it wherever there is a direction
So if the sun of daytime rises, it disappears

ูขูฆ. ุชูŽุฌููˆู„ู ุจูู‡ู ู…ุง ุฏูŽุงู…ูŽ ููŠ ูƒูู„ู‘ู ูˆูุฌู’ู‡ูŽุฉู
ูุฅู†ู’ ุทูŽู„ูŽุนูŽุชู’ ุดูŽู…ู’ุณู ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽู‡ุงุฑู ุชูŽุฎูŽูู‘ูŽุชู

27. And does the diminishing of the aspirations
Of one afflicted by animosity diminish the beauty?

ูขูง. ูˆูŽู‡ูŽู„ู’ ูŠูู†ู’ู‚ูุตู ุงู„ู’ุญูŽุณู’ู†ุงุกูŽ ู†ูู‚ู’ุตุงู†ู ุฑูŽุบู’ุจูŽุฉ
ุฅู„ู‰ ุญูุณู’ู†ูู‡ุง ู…ูู…ู‘ูŽู†ู’ ุฃูŽุตููŠุจูŽ ุจูุนูู†ู‘ูŽุฉู

28. And did the status of the full moon decrease when it rose
If dogs denied it and fled?

ูขูจ. ูˆู‡ู„ ุญุท ู‚ุฏุฑ ุงู„ุจุฏุฑ ุนู†ุฏ ุทู„ูˆุนู‡
ุฅุฐุง ู…ุง ูƒู„ุงุจ ุฃู†ูƒุฑุชู‡ ูู‡ุฑุช

29. And the sea is not harmed if a fool stands
On its shore throwing pebbles into it

ูขูฉ. ูˆู…ุง ุฅู†ู’ ูŠูŽุถูุฑู‘ู ุงู„ู’ุจูŽุญู’ุฑูŽ ุฅู†ู’ ู‚ุงู…ูŽ ุฅูŽุญู’ู…ูŽู‚ูŒ
ุนูŽู„ูŽู‰ ุดูŽุทู‘ูู‡ู ูŠูŽุฑู’ู…ููŠ ุฅู„ูŽูŠู’ู‡ู ุจูุตูŽุฎู’ุฑูŽุฉู

30. So delve into the seas of diligence and count away
From men whose teeth fell out due to senility

ูฃู . ููŽุฎูุถู’ ููŠ ุจูุญุงุฑู ุงู„ุงูุฌูุชู‡ุงุฏู ูˆุนูŽุฏู‘ู ุนูŽู†ู’
ุฑุฌุงู„ู ุชูŽุณูŽู„ู‘ูŽุชู’ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุณูŽู†ุงู‡ู ุจูููุฑู’ูŠูŽุฉู

31. A yearning inclines to the caller of prejudice
And if one day he calls it to moderation, it flees

ูฃูก. ุชูุตูŠุฎู ุฅู„ู‰ ุฏูŽุงุนูŠ ุงู„ุชู‘ูŽุนูŽุตู‘ูุจู ุฑูŽุบู’ุจูŽุฉูŒ
ูˆุฅู†ู’ ูŠูŽุฏู’ุนูู‡ุง ูŠูŽูˆู’ู…ุงู‹ ุฅู„ู‰ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูุตู’ูู ูุฑู‘ูŽุชู

32. If a man inclines to it courteously
It leans toward imitation and is devoted

ูฃูข. ุฅุฐุง ุฑูŽุฌูู„ูŒ ุฃูŽู‡ู’ูˆูŽู‰ ุฅู„ูŠู‡ุง ุจูุฑุจู’ู‚ูŽุฉู
ุฃู…ุงู„ูŽุชู’ ุฅู„ู‰ ุงู„ุชู‘ูŽู‚ู’ู„ูŠุฏู ุฌููŠุฏุงู‹ ูˆู„ูŽุจู‘ูŽุชู

33. And if you try to release the shackles from it, it refuses
And says leave me in captivity and my familiarity

ูฃูฃ. ูˆุฅู†ู’ ุฑูู…ู’ุชูŽ ููŽูƒู‘ูŽ ุงู„ุฃูŽุณู’ุฑู ุนูŽู†ู’ู‡ุง ุชูŽู…ูŽู†ู‘ูŽุนูŽุชู’
ูˆู‚ุงู„ูŽุชู’ ุฏูŽุนูˆู†ููŠ ููŠ ุงู„ุฅุณุงุฑู ูˆู†ูุณู’ุนูŽุชูŠ

34. For my eyes are blind to the paths of righteousness
And my ears to the caller of advice are deaf

ูฃูค. ููŽุนูŽูŠู’ู†ูŽูŠ ุนูŽู†ู’ ุทูุฑู’ู‚ู ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽูˆุงุจู ุนูŽู…ููŠู‘ูŽุฉูŒ
ูˆุฃุฐู’ู†ูŠูŽ ุนูŽู†ุก ุฏุงุนูŠ ุงู„ู†ู‘ูŽุตูŠุญูŽุฉู ุตูู…ู‘ูŽุชู

35. And bring the talk of the sheikh, I do not listen
To other than it, and leave me from the Qurโ€™an and Sunnah

ูฃูฅ. ูˆูŽู‡ุงุชู ูƒูŽู„ุงู…ูŽ ุงู„ุดู‘ูŽูŠู’ุฎู ู„ูŽุณู’ุชู ุจุณุงู…ูุนู
ุณููˆุงู‡ู ูˆูŽุฏูŽุนู’ู†ูŠ ู…ูู†ู’ ูƒูุชุงุจู ูˆุณูู†ู‘ูŽุฉู

36. For our leading sheikhs in every goal
And our ancestors are the lords of every faction

ูฃูฆ. ูุฃุดูŠุงุฎูู†ุง ุงู„ุณู‘ูุจู‘ุงู‚ู ููŠ ูƒูู„ู‘ู ุบุงูŠูŽุฉู
ูˆุฃูŽุณู’ู„ุงููู†ุง ุฃูŽุฑุจุงุจู ูƒูู„ู‘ู ููŽุตููŠู„ุฉู

37. So there is no saying but what the passionate states
And no opinion but what the glorious one flashes

ูฃูง. ููŽู„ุง ู‚ูŽูˆู’ู„ูŽ ุฅู„ุง ู…ุง ุชูŽู‚ููˆู„ู ุบูŽุฒูŠู‘ูŽุฉูŒ
ูˆูŽู„ุง ุฑุฃู’ูŠ ุฅู„ุง ู…ุง ูŠูŽู„ูˆุญู ู„ูุนูŽุฒู‘ูŽุฉู

38. And leave you knowledge whose spout does not shake
As it is said except the group of presumptuousness

ูฃูจ. ูˆูŽุฏูŽุนู’ ุนูŽู†ู’ูƒูŽ ุนูู„ู’ู…ุงู‹ ู„ุง ูŠูŽู‡ูุฒู‘ู ู‚ูŽู†ูŽุงุชูŽู‡ู
ูƒู…ุง ู‚ููŠู„ูŽ ุฅูู„ุง ููุฑู’ู‚ูŽุฉู ุงู„ู’ุญูŽุดูŽูˆููŠู‘ูŽุฉู

39. So this is the answer of the mute, O Amr, if the caller
To the paths of guidance, the experienced caller, calls

ูฃูฉ. ููŽู‡ุฐูŽุง ุฌูŽูˆูŽุงุจู ุงู„ู’ุจููƒู’ู…ู ูŠุง ุนูŽู…ู’ุฑููˆ ุฅู†ู’ ุฏุนุง
ุฅู„ู‰ ุทูุฑูู‚ู ุงู„ุฅุฑู’ุดุงุฏู ุฏูŽุงุนูŠ ุงู„ู’ู…ูŽุจูŽุฑู‘ูŽุฉู

40. So take the initiative to cast off the necklace hastily
For satisfaction with captivity is greatest disgrace

ูคู . ูุจุงุฏูุฑู’ ุจุฅู„ู‚ุงุกู ุงู„ู‚ูู„ุงุฏูŽุฉ ู…ูุณู’ุฑูุนุงู‹
ูุฅู†ู‘ ุงู„ุฑู‘ุถุง ุจุงู„ุฃุณู’ุฑู ุฃุนู’ุธูŽู…ู ุฎูุฒู’ูŠูŽุฉู

41. And if you are a penetrating arrow, perceptive
Then leave what an eye has become blind to

ูคูก. ูˆุฅู†ู’ ูƒูู†ุชูŽ ุณูŽู‡ู’ู…ุงู‹ ู†ุงููุฐุงู‹ ู…ูุชูŽุจูŽุตู‘ูุฑุงู‹
ููŽุฏูŽุนู’ ู…ุง ุจูู‡ู ุนูŽูŠู’ู†ูŒ ู…ูู†ู’ ุงู„ู’ุนูู…ู’ูŠ ู‚ูŽุฑู‘ูŽุชู

42. For neither did a transmitting with shortness come to us
Nor did a judgment for sound minds come with that

ูคูข. ูู…ุง ุฌุงุกูŽู†ุง ู†ูŽู‚ู’ู„ูŒ ุจูู‚ูŽุตู’ุฑู ูˆู„ุง ุฃุชูŽู‰
ุจุฐู„ููƒูŽ ุญููƒู’ู…ูŒ ู„ู„ุนูู‚ููˆู„ู ุงู„ุตู‘ูŽุญููŠุญุฉู

43. And the overflowing of the blessings of God on mankind
Those who passed, it is overflowing upon them in wisdom

ูคูฃ. ูˆูŽู…ุง ููŽุงุถูŽ ู…ูู†ู’ ููŽุถู’ู„ู ุงู„ุฅู„ูŽู‡ู ุนูŽู„ูŽู‰ ุงู„ุฃู„ูŠ
ู…ูŽุถูŽูˆู’ุง ููŽู‡ู’ูˆูŽ ููŽูŠู‘ูŽุงุถูŒ ุนูŽู„ูŽูŠู’ู‡ู…ู’ ุจูุญููƒู’ู…ูŽุฉู

44. And be not obedient, submissive to an obstinate one
By this you become similar to an animal

45. So this is the unhealable disease which has coursed
Through this land, rather the origin of every affliction

46. For there is no good in knowledge which misguides from guidance
And pulls its people to partisanship

47. And in ignorance of some knowledges there is comfort
If it does not lead its lords to half-truth
