1. May the abode of joy delight you, for it is
The finest building the Caliphs have erected,

2. And may its garden delight you, for it is a paradise
Beyond what the eloquent can describe,

3. Its flowers are pearls and its leaves are like
Emerald, colored grass, and dense foliage,

4. Neither the ravines of Bawan nor the plains of Samarqand
Can equal it, let the knowing acknowledge the difference.
