1. The system has arrived, yet you remain, O son of the first ones
They sat atop the heights upon the brow of perfection

2. And you mentioned that a saying was uttered, so what
That saying, then who is the master of saying

3. Do not be astonished, for we have seen many a youth
Whose steps were shortened after being long and long

4. He was sitting loftily upon the mountain of guidance
Yet he plunged to the depths of frivolity and misguidance

5. He was amidst the perfect light, but returned
Retreating into the darkness - how wretched the exchange

6. He was a star whose lights had shone
Yet he freely fell amongst the pebbles of the sands

7. His pride was that God had spoken
And His Messenger - his saying being excellent saying

8. He was hoped for ranks and heights
Could it be that the eye of perfection has struck him?

9. They said he insults the companions of the Chosen One
Vehemently, and with the caliphs he initiates saying

10. And here the skin shuddered and tears
Poured upon his cheeks, and argument ceased
