1. Do not make me like people who were wronged
Never being oppressed even for a moment

2. I regard them highly with meat, as they know
Fresh, and make it cheap for them when cooked

3. I am the son of one who kills the hunger of people, as they know
When the sky covers its horizons with dusk

4. O Lord, two matters I have separated between them
When they claw into the chest and churn

5. I do not see my companion estranging his wife
Nor do I speak ill of her if they go out

6. My nature endures for those whose nature endures
And I mix sweetness sometimes for those who mix

7. I mend the tear with a patch jokingly
When the stars are twinkling in the darkness of night

8. Whatever command Allah sends down that I dislike
He will surely make for me relief after it

9. No people extend their hands to nobility
Except we see ourselves above them in rank

10. Allah did not make my heart, when worries descend
Squeeze me tightly, nor feel distressed
