1. Some men came to me like beetles in the night
With no scorpions among them
١. أَتَتني هنات من رجال كأَنَّها
خنافس ليل ليس فيها عقاربُ
2. They encroached upon me so I denied them
And in God I have a tireless guardian and seeker
٢. أَحلوا على عرضي فأَحرمتُ عنهم
وفي اللَه جار لا يَنام وطالبُ
