١. وَجارِيَةٍ شَعرُها شَطرُها
مُحَكَّمَةٍ نافِذٍ أَمرُها
2. She turns with a bowl in her hand
Her wrist conceals her guile
٢. تَدورُ وَفي كَفِّها طاقَةٌ
تَضَمَّنَها مُكرَهاً شِبرُها
3. If she intoxicates us, she is blameless
For what she does to us, she has an excuse
٣. فَإِن أَسكَرَتنا فَفي جَهلِها
بِما فَعَلَتهُ بِنا عُذرُها
