The earth not nations, your troops not tribes

One standard moves on, replaced by another

Plunging in the waters up to their chests

Grazing gazelles in fertile thickets

22. Leaving no ruins visible to the eye
Nor chicks abled to take wing

23. No armor could protect its wearer
No maiden's veil shelter her modesty

24. Throwing them into the blades of swords
The earth's hollows, marshes, and ditches

25. Bypassing Arsanas unharmed
What protection when there is none against you?

26. No sea too vast nor hill too high
To hinder you or thwart your zeal

27. Breaking through them with mailed horses
Men whose ruin was sealed if their feet but slipped

28. Waves recoil from the pounding of their hooves
As goats scatter before the looter

Whose people are vermin, their abodes rubbish

Lost in wine, music, and song

No blessing is kept fresher than it

One drop would suffice if you called, not struck

They know not death nor old age

One soul relieving another of worry

Whose leadership Arabs and non-Arabs witnessed
