1. I think of their claim, Quraish,
And their abandonment of Christians and Jews.

2. And how they came to be from nothing,
And how they attained the distant goal.

3. And who will protect their horns with fire
And make it shackles for their feet.

4. You have lied, Al-'Assas has no offspring,
For people do not give birth to monkeys.

5. I deny among you the two burdensome ones,
And I accept you as witnesses for yourselves.

6. Words of Abu Al-Fadl came to me,
I made my response to him this poem.

7. Just now I was going to answer him, but
I saw that forbearance does not unsettle slaves.
