1. It is the right of the Wise to create all people,
And the best of them in love is Ahmad.

2. It is the right of the Beloved to bring forth His light
Onto creation as the first to come into being.

3. It is the right of the Master of Religion to be just,
And for us at times of stumbling, a support.

4. My nature is inherently averse to vain pastimes -
Created with success in piety as an ally.

5. From the beginning, I did not accustom my soul to corruption -
To each person belongs what they become used to in their lifetime.

6. So my passion is inclined to the taste of Truth,
Not bound by rhetorical flourish.
