1. My body is worn by longing and my mind confused,
Love has overcome me and increased my turmoil,

2. Reason warns me against the pain of passion,
Yet my mind is distracted by intense ardour.

3. My heart harbours the tribulations of ardent love,
Yet it heeds no advice nor cares for blame.

4. No reproach of the envious can harm my innocence,
Nobility in hardship is the mark of true devotion.

5. A full moon rises, blessing all who seek friendship,
And prayers upon the best of mankind and family.

6. He draws hearts near by his gentle swaying gait,
And slays souls with a glance from his deadly eyes.

7. O you whose decree is affirmed in cataclysm,
Whose constancy alters my every state!

8. You are the purpose of all worlds entire,
In you alone I find satisfaction, no other is my desire.

9. I desire and love none but you,
My soul is yours, along with my heart and all I own.

10. I have a claim to union with you,
For my tie and attachment to you are clear.

11. In passion for you I am uniquely devoted,
To your incomparable beauty I am enslaved.

12. In your varied hues and handsome features,
Are marvels of your colorful, diverse creation.

13. For you I have a myriad longing,
Renewed and abundant, growing night and day.

14. Ever increasing, recurring, succeeding,
Should you aim harm I'll witness what I see,

15. Think not that I have vision,
When darkness obscures my sight.

16. O my wish, trust not in tricks
Contrived by those practiced in cunning and fraud.

17. Consider well the fruits of keeping evil company,
And beware the fellowship of pompous boors.

18. Scorn not my advice and counsel,
By God, my loyalty and devotion are true.

19. Look to the words of the wise man that:
He is free of corruption and misguidance.

20. Do not cease to be safeguarded in the abode,
Of the Protected Full Moon.
