1. O rider of the swift caravan
What is this promise of farewell

2. Why not be kind to a group
Whom you left slain with wounds

3. Yearning for the strikes of death
And you betrayed them, losing the dearest

4. Tell them no forts can protect you
From the arrows of fate, nor armor

5. Slow down, like he who guided you
O shedder of tears

6. Why does your bier float
Like a ship among crowds

7. Moving between palms
And foreheads of all

8. Why do cheeks constantly
Incline towards you in grief

9. Answer the caller at your grave
Screaming, is there anyone listening?

10. Have mercy on you, o deceased, in both worlds
For the crying heartbroken one

11. For God's sake, wait so we bid farewell
To one who asks for return

12. In people, your memory is immortal
Never shall your beauty fade

13. If your star has gone with loyalty
The sun of your memory rises

14. Only nights know alone
Your standing and bowing in prayer

15. In every place of prostration
Scents of your memory diffusing

16. You avoid blamable deeds
Terrible to hear of

17. With what your Master granted you
Content in the world

18. No wailing saddened you
Nor did hunger make you complain

19. All witness to your grace
And for you they all grieve

20. Without virtues, the vile would not
Be distinct from the noble

21. This is the virtuous among us
In his excellent ancestral home

22. The home of Manistri, but what
Do you know of the firm home?

23. A home honored by the like of Muhammad
Noble roots and branches

24. This is the aroma of genius
In his pure, learned son

25. In his son and brother, the blessed
The solace of all

26. Honored by a sea like him
Yearning for our renaissance

27. So let the greens cry over him
Like the pelican over the slain

28. He was but a giver
Of effort, as much as able

29. His whole life sufficed only
For good deeds

30. One who bought his religion
Profited all

31. Had it not been for fear of his Lord
He'd not know submission's meaning

32. How much he smiled at misfortunes
When humility made him cry

33. Until he passed on joyfully
And the wailer wailed his loss

34. O flower that withered
On branches in spring

35. They planted you again
Watering you with tears

36. A grave that contained a precious body
Raised above the meadows

37. We grieved him, like a mother
Her infant child

38. As if he were affection and brotherhood
Between ribs

39. And sorrows opened in him
From a paradise that started raining

40. The maidens crowded around him
Between incense and candles

41. Good tidings to you, o soulmate
In whom you reside, envied by the honored tombs

42. In you is the obedient to his Lord
So make way, obedient one, for the obedient

43. He was called by the historian Muhammad
As your intercessor
