1. If only I could build a home for you
And you lived in this grave, if only you were content

2. Never should your body be changed by the soil
For it encompasses so many virtues

3. You were never in the greenery except as a peacemaker
And you have every merit transported onto you

4. You studied how to nurture noble feelings and create
Refined sensibilities, say: blessed is that spring

5. You dedicated yourself to the country and its people
Yearning for you, thus, are mature men

6. By God, you were but an exemplar
In what you told them and in what you did

7. Your conscience, with which covenants were bound
Was exonerated, covenants which feet would violate

8. Imprisonments testified for you, and they are mosques
And places of refuge, wherein are the orphan and widow

9. O you who were raised above men’s shoulders amongst them
And for the like of you, fingers point

10. You made them ascend, made them ascend above their heads
On the day of your funeral, and it is a confusing day

11. May God bless the Messenger Muhammad
And bless the one who works for the religion as you did

12. You bade farewell to your family concerning your affairs
At the brother’s, a testimony for you to accept
