We are with truth and the constitution our goal

26. Strangest that in the horizon our sign appeared
So we complained much but you heard not our plaints

27. And we called but the call met deafness
Say this is the breath of the Vanquisher made just

28. It met the hand of the treacherous killer what it wrought
O you who protect him in what is between you, you failed

29. Our patron, tell me have you not invalidated
That stewardship when blessings were lost

30. You betrayed pacts and law and homeland
You lived the supreme with neither counsel nor safety

31. You insisted except on our lagging behind
Had you been gentle, Commander of the Faithful, with us

They asked you for a constitution as you commanded

33. In the Sharia but you deemed unlawful what you legislated
You never ceased to turn away from an afflicted nation

34. Until you divided them in two so they split
Over their corpses, sorrow and ruins

35. You ruled tyrannically, what unjust rule
You ruled an age, what awesome injustice

36. You scattered them into every abyss
You divided their unity in every direction

37. So they compelled you by God’s power and united
From the pressure, if only you know, it erupted

38. These eyes, and were it not for God they would have gone blind
The Pharaoh of your time, if you were just, you would not have triumphed

39. And O descendants of Uthman, have you not connected
From him to you the contemptible traits and zeal

40. Where are the conquests O descendants of warriors and who

41. Where are the victories of that throne where are they buried
Where are the banners, masters of resolves who

42. Were your ancestors the prey by justice made great
Your noble forefathers were the source of ambition

43. They toured the realms of Arabs and non-Arabs
They served this religion from its origins

44. They established your lofty glory from the first steps
Then you came demolishing what they built and collected

45. You destroyed what they erected, scattered what they composed
You dug in us with the hands of injustice precipices

46. Your years slipped with the steps of reform bloody
Your years were like old ill-omened mourning years

O holder of the throne, yet through you the world is ashamed

52. Caliph of God, you violated what He ordered
In the Sharia, Revelation, and the Word

53. From east of the earth, if you know, to its west
The victims invoke against you in their fervor

54. Kings have no right to subdue them
And the path of the Rightly Guided Caliphs in it

55. Is best advice for oppressors, if they understand
Kingdoms have no standing fortress and no

56. Yulduz dam in it to misguide him
So say to him from the mouth that undoes his refuge

57. You rode the ship of tyranny, none accepts it
Of who succeeds him among his people’s idols

58. You revived among them discord, though they were secure
Replacing their good fortune and most miserable with sorrow

59. You emptied a great enduring kingdom never appraised for price
You destroyed your house, O you, so you are then

60. Enemy of yourself, or touched by blames
You alienated every well-wisher, O king

61. You did not know that rule is shared
Until fate and destiny turned against you

62. You gathered a band of traitors, how much they shed
Then they exhausted, with neither pledge nor sin

63. If Bosphorus could speak, in you its mouth
Would be a poem, all of it reproach

64. And the essence of the saying and history a shrine
The loyal left you and fled

65. And the treacherous crowded your doors
The heart of the throne split from you and your

66. Moment for the people approached, but for obstinacy you refused
Your nights grew long and blackened with what you earned

67. You were excessive in pillaging the treasury thus you stole
From it for spies what they wanted and gained

68. They are your chosen party, you made their status great
You favored them, so their harshness intensified

69. A barrier of your palace you did not restrict sustaining them
A gang who weighed on the people and trampled them

70. They deafened from the truth in their purposes and blinded
Around you they turned, and you are all who promised him

71. The vile opportunist, his vices are not hidden
They were rough, disdaining son and father

72. You chose them, and a man’s choices testify of him

78. This, your heart, became like steel, so hardened
And you were concealed, not displaying insight

79. You erased what was written and preserved
You tried to extinguish the light of truth but it flickers

80. Its mouths flare if any mouth is barred
During your rule Derdanel, say, and restraint

81. They escaped and you escaped with the vessels fleeing
Inside it complains of you, outside denounces you

82. The time was long upon the injustice you treat
And the creation despaired and boredom took hold

83. You secluded yourself, O formidable, thus you secluded
From you the truth until it clarified so emerged

84. You wronged your people in the constitution so they triumphed
Thus your affairs in the land remained, so widened

85. And man welcomes what his fortune contains of pain
Your qualities among people and character appeared

86. Ruin and crushing upon the ill-omened and crushed
The free came to you in formation

87. Nearly spent their lives sincerely loving their nation
To serve them the sword and the pen

88. Hail to those estimable spirits and ambition
Long they lingered in your miserable rule

89. A dormant fire the wickedness in it denies
Your wind blows but they did not heed it

90. And whenever your gang slept they awoke
They plan and even if you notice them they are bold

91. How much you tried to tempt them with wealth and their
Pride refused to undo their bond

92. They will never cease while the constitution is their request
And when their preparation to leap was complete

93. They entrusted and deliberated with what they resolved
They came protecting you in squadrons

94. The organs of the living flew lightened
They tore through the earth’s orbit quaking

95. They let loose upon you swords of justice sharpened
As if they were shooting stars in the horizon or meteorites

96. The earth shook from their earthquake and purely
Collapsed the Yulduz lowered with them folded

97. What a scream that shuddered violently unleashed
They tore in the darkness of night a slit

98. The earth smiled at it and the injustice in it birthed darkness
God aids the oppressed against his oppressor

99. One like you, O tyrant, does not attain His mercies
The people freed you, you are not their ruler today

100. And they tried you to the shattering and contended
They returned to their homeland, welcome is their return

101. They founded their features and rose in their aid
They nearly undid those who schemed to destroy their nation

102. So they sacrificed themselves loving their nation
Long live those estimable characters and zeal

103. And long live in us our glory and lights
And let our banner rise high and our pulpit tower

104. What occurred has occurred and history records us
What occurred has occurred and the Merciful aids us

105. Justice is triumphant and injustice routed
Today you became, my patron, attentive

106. From the stupor which displayed what was ambiguous
After eras and my proximity in drawing near it

107. You plotted an evil strife to regain through it
From your invalidated glory the misleading pomp

108. O violator of covenant, to restore what you seized
The free of your afflicted nation, with what you earned

109. A long rule in which your errors became well known

110. Then it cleared, thus what was beneath it became a cyst
Never expecting that truth in you would see

111. Or that we feed your autocracy rocks
Until they rebelled like sparks supporting the pot

115. They returned to their home, welcome is their return
They founded their features and aided in their victory

116. They nearly undid those who schemed against their nation
So they sacrificed themselves loving their nation

117. Long live those estimable characters and zeal
And long live in us our glories and lights

118. And let our banners rise high and our pulpits tower

133. Your misery refused except to oppose
As if with your fortunes the planets frowned

134. And you were obscured, displaying no insight
You wronged your people in the constitution, so they triumphed

135. Thus your affairs in the land spread out
And man welcomes what his fortune contains of sorrow

136. Your traits among people and character appeared
Disgrace and crushing upon the ill-omened and cracked

Almost spent their lives loving their nation

138. To serve them the sword and the pen
