1. The dawn emerged and the
Morning sun shone, the day began,

2. The breeze blew on the branches
So the fruits blossomed,

3. They moved after the stillness
One crept and one flew,

4. The adults went about their business
And the little ones walked to school,

5. They entered the classrooms triumphantly
Each with his book and motto,

6. The teacher greeted and prepared
To teach what he indicated,

7. The studious ones, their lessons
Deserve consideration,

8. And the others, left behind,
Await punishment,

9. Knowledge is a gown of glory,
And ignorance a gown of shame,

10. So let us seek to attain it
Until we earn pride,

11. This, while we are your little ones,
Is a hope the elders fulfill.
