1. Leave the descriptions of boys and maidens
And chant freely for the constitution

2. And sing with the strings of feeling a song
Far apart are prose and poetry

3. And send from poetry a spirit in their feelings
Like the beginning of light sent to sights by dawn

4. And mention the demands of a people that accepts them
Except for the two allied, a hireling and an oppressor

5. What did we demand, was there any transgression in the matter
We did not come up with anything forbidden

6. So many signed petitions and so many messengers
To an order from the greens and a commanded one

7. Standing as proof of consensus, speaking
Of the truth, and the truth in us is not seen
