You are the crown of immortality I seek to attain

You are at night an unending dream

54. You are at dawn an unfailing resolve
You are Gabriel revealing to me, and I compose what

55. You reveal of the jewels of verses and speech
You are to us the Prophet of beauty, no lies

56. A messenger sent, most eloquent of messengers
If you thought of leaving and distancing

57. You are in my heart settled, not moving
Let not the beauty you wear deceive you

58. The wearer of finery in life heads for loss
O flower of beauty, do not be fooled by its splendor

59. For spring is short-lived and bound to perish
Dew is the life of flowers, but it harms them

60. And love of beauty is fickle, not faithful
Guard your beauty, obscure it if you wish

61. And bury it, if you like, in a grave of ignorance
What destiny demands of us is not our choice

62. When passion commands, excuses are many
