And you did not call Mu'awiyah ibn 'Amr

2. Had you called him, he would have come hastening
Running swiftly or he would have come sprinting

3. Yielding when calamity strikes
And meeting his fate at every turn

4. When death comes, he does not care
Whether it came easily or with hardship

5. Like a lion crouching, paws spread
Brave-chested, feared and noble
