1. O eye, be generous with a tear of yours
When people are rightly guided or think of turning away

2. You remind me of a rock when it laments
With a grieving ostrich upon its branches

3. And every teardrop spends the night awake
Weeping the sorrowful weeping of a longing heart

4. Do not lie, for death is destructive
To all creation except the One Everlasting

5. You are the noble young man true to himself
Giving bountifully with a radiant face from you

6. And a branch you give as well as a flute encompassed
Every gaze to the goals is racing

7. I will weep for Abu Hassaan lamenting
I have not ceased in any evening or dawn
