1. Whoever endures patiently will praise his outcome
Undoubtedly achieving his hopes
١. من حوى الإصطبار يحمد مآله
وهو لاشكّ بالغٌ آماله
2. And happiness comes from wisdom so stick to
Being close to one who has secluded himself and secluded for him
٢. وحوى السّعد من حوى الرّأي فالزم
قُرب من قد خلا لهُ وخلا له
3. I do not see glory unless the opinion is sublime
The glory of one who has secluded himself and secluded for him
٣. ما أرى العزّ ان جلا الرأي إلا
عزّ من قد جلا لهُ وجلا له
4. And when opinion accompanies determination, be sure
That he who strived for him or strove for him
٤. وإذا الرأيُ صاحب العزم فاجزم
أنّه من سعى لهُ أو سعا له
5. Whoever possessed such traits, his enemies came back to him
When you know his traits are like his traits
٥. من حوى ذي الخصال عادت عداهُ
حين تدري خصالهُ كالخصاله
6. Like the traits of one who possessed for them the son of Hussein
None sees he possessed for them from all his surroundings
٦. كخصال حوى لها ابنُ حسين
لا يرى قد حوى لها من حواله
7. A king, all, every one who wanted to relate
From the sublime perfection of his perfection and his perfection
٧. ملكٌ كلّ كلُّ من رام يحكي
من معالي كماله وكماله
8. He loves pardon with the love of one intensely in love
So the wishes granted him and his wishes
٨. يعشق العفو عشق غيلان ميا
فحباهُ المنى لهُ ومناله
9. He forbade bloodshed from himself to adorn him
When he sees it permitted for him and his permits
٩. حرّم السفك عنه لاكسواهُ
إذ يراه حلا له وحلاله
10. Hastening to give and esteems slowing down
Supporting whom he intended for him and his intentions
١٠. مُسرعٌ للعطا ويعظم بطئا
رفد من قد نوى له ونواله
11. Whoever aims at the beloved his ropes of love poetry
In it he cast the ropes of love for him and his ropes
١١. من رمى للحبى حبالة مدح
فيه ألقى الحبا لهُ والحباله
12. In it is a well he points to for the thirsty one to drink
So he throws to him the indicators and his indicators
١٢. فيه بئر يدل بالرّفد للعا
في فيلقي الدّلالة والدّلالة
13. I do not see myself except for him, from him a sword
From his hands, shooting for him and his arsenal
١٣. لاأراني إلا له منهُ حساما
من يديه نبا لهُ ونباله
14. So the enemy will suffice, one day, and will give, an enamored one
From protecting for him and his protections
١٤. فسيكفي العدوّ يوما ويعطي
مغرما من حمى له وحماله
15. Lasting in glory, determined, a king
Not complaining of his fatigue and his fatigues
١٥. دام في العزّ ماضي العزم ملكا
ليس يشكو كلالهُ وكلاله
16. He whom from his Lofty Lord became in the morning
In the safekeeping of guaranteed protection and enough for him
١٦. هو من ربّه العليّ غدا في
حرز أمن كفالة وكفى له
