1. Enough sin in some suspicion, how imagining!
Would a reasonable man be pleased with blame to sin?

2. Whoever casts aspersions on the innocent
Has always been cast with people's contempt, not honored

3. When the free man's honor is touched by a saying
The free man feels no pain from the touch

4. So the excellence of ruby is not painful from fire
Nor pure gold infringed on by melting

5. Nor the luster of two lights when appearing
Eclipsed a flaw the light with it is marked

6. And not diminished the edge of sword by sharpening
But its action appears and it is unsheathed

7. And whoever insults the precious pearl
Sees no insulter but the insulter of the pearl is insulted

8. If my pisstake settles on the tongue, it may
Settle containing the exquisite poison

9. And if the tongues’ scorpions sting my honor
Then my tongue among the injuries is sharpest

10. And the free man’s honor dress is not stained mud
Except dyed with what sticks to it

11. If they cast stones, the meteors of my speech
Stone them, demons of those casters stone

12. Will know who kindled suspicions’ fires
Against me with whom those fires flame

13. Until the burnt think by their flames’ blaze
On them like the cold from it is hell

14. They aimed at me to harm and attacked
Out of their envy although I did no crime

15. Sufficient the enviers’ torment a punishment
With bounty and they have not what I enjoy blessed

16. Kinship of poetry summoned them against me for suspicion
Every eloquent said poetry hypocritical

17. If I poetry debauchery and suspicion
Still my conscience to chastity submits

18. Yes, I love every tender-waisted gazelle
For which beautiful patience breaks and goes sour

19. The full moon is not but in aspect and the bouquet’s
Branches tired not but to it submit

20. It violates my patience and forbearance bonds with its face
Spring therein but for me prohibited

21. Imagines and in some suspicion imprinted
My joy or I revealed what I concealed

22. So stop suspecting me and ascertain the opposite
Yes, a lover in love stricken, infatuated

23. If deafness turns from me about the fodder of dishonor
And consents so it is celebration for me and greatest

24. Oh, strange me! I see fasting, its estrangement
And my celebration from it the connection and celebration nullified

Therewith the Nu‘mani doctrine initiated and concluded

26. The sign of treasure-eye in jurisprudence has become
Clarifying the implicit meaning and teaching

27. Adorned therewith jurisprudence-chest when beginning
Therewith chosen unique pearl smiles

28. Collected therein knowledge and merit thus exaggerated
Therewith ocean-confluence among people is known

29. If meaning darkens, lantern of his mind
Guides therewith and it is dark

30. Lamp on horizon of understanding, river of benefits
Ocean of cognitions foaming white-haired

31. Special issuing of edicts is his
As edicts’ authority alive therein stamped

32. You see him proofs realize as though
Its evidence sun and full moon accomplished

33. The religion tenets its details realized
And jurisprudence-elements therein outlined

34. Grammar and rhetoric pride themselves
With it if initiated and adversary therein argues

35. My master this stamp a blessed stamp
With it virtues’ diffusion no secret kept

36. Sealed therewith my eyes on treasure thus exaggerated
Eyes from knowledge therein concealed

37. So I remained crown on summit of highest
Era therewith mighty and grand

38. And highest heavenly kingdom your right
Ruling it in what you desire thus serves

39. Send peace on best of people
Worlds’ intercessor on final plain and matter obscured
