The water of life flows in the land
١. إنّي لأعجب من سُؤال النّاس عن
ماء الحياة بأيّ أرض مُنهمر
2. Yet I see it in the lips of a gazelle
Sweet to sip, and green the mouth that drinks it
٢. ولقد أراه بثغر ظبي أغيد
حُلو اللّمى وعليه شاربُهُ الخضر
3. And it is amazing that Moses meets
Him there, asking though lacking patience
٣. ومن العجائب أنّ مُوسى يلتقي
معه هُنالك سائلا لم يصطبر
