1. A star has appeared on the horizon of knowledge
Outshining the midday sun, though it is waning

2. A youth from the Enlightened clan called Muhammad
Praiseworthy traits among all people, though he is modest

3. He pursued noble knowledge and attained it
And spent the night comprehending meanings while enduring hardship

4. He adorned himself with secret and open piety to God
And went to fight the unbelievers as a warrior

5. His time occupied with his lessons
He earns no reward for this

6. No wonder that he revived the ways of his grandfather
And through him its light increased

7. He remains forever mighty and sublime
Through it he subdues enemies and silences the envious
