1. He gave me a cup like a tear drop
And the redness of his cheeks was like the embers of my passions

2. He gave me to drink while the stars were still shining in the sky
Tomorrow the tail of comet will sweep the horizons

Answered by the singing of the leaves on the branches

4. And with the two lutes our drinking party was delightful

12. Until both treasures were emptied
By the voiding of both treasures in total expenditure

13. And when those promises drew near and the
Branches of fidelity bloomed from our pledge - what blooming!

14. And I submitted my mind to the wine
And my right hand submitted to the hand of that cupbearer

15. I removed the clothes of dignity from it and circled
My hand around its slender waist and the cupbearer swayed

16. And my beloved thought the full moon was in his embrace
While the moon leaned toward none but my arms and my necklace
