19. Oblivion passes away and its life does not end

26. Fortunes seek those who have no fortunes
And I went away from it bare, shoulders exposed

27. And the denier of my state I have known
Said he wanted things from the generous without purity

28. So I said I braved the floods of adversities as a young man
For others are knowledge and literature you did not add

29. So I said the most hostile of enemies to the time a young man
In all knowledge and literature with splendor

30. She said, "Were you not from a house of nobility?"
I said, "None besides me in that house hoped"

31. She said, "So do you have a credential in
What you claim?" I said, "I have a credential of nobility"

32. A great, prestigious, learned, judicious elder
Not attaining high merits, not committing sins

33. He is the prestigious Abu Al-Abbas Ahmad
Who ascended over the hills of Al-Jawza without effort

34. And the cases of his fatwas are adorned
With acquittals from the inclinations of injustice and harm

35. The adversary acknowledged incapacity in them, so it was raised
In the dispute from his acknowledgment, and that sufficed me

36. As if the post of his fatwa was a passion for him
So the long time did not part him from passion

37. He rose to the elevation of distinction
In lowering a life for it in secure shelter

38. So every garment on his fatwa is short
Except it, as it is a garment with a sufficient hem

39. As if it is a body and he is its resting place
And every body without a soul did not stand

40. In every speck of the regions, a window
His fatwas like the penetration of arrows into targets

41. Their structure, no distance has demolished it
While others have collapsed on the verge of a cliff

42. So what are the contracts that exonerate his hands
Except pearl contracts on the clothing studded

43. He revived the obligations in portions after they were wasted
And taught them to the Muslims, stop

44. So through him they are known, each drawing
From his sea, and acknowledging his superiority

45. If an issue perplexes the understanding with aloofness
It becomes sound to him with an understanding not bemused

46. He suffices in enumerating what I have attempted of number
Except my boasting, the eloquent does not suffice

47. Delegations come to him from every direction
Seeking every question about him, not hidden

48. He answers immediately about each with answers
That satisfy the hearts' concerns, none cured from him

49. In the merit of all others, the words differ
And in his merit, no differing words

50. No wonder if glory inaccessible to others is attributed to him
For his sweat in glory is not concealed

51. Eloquence and leadership were in
His ancestors, later comes after the previous

52. But they moved so they would return to him
Like the sun from nobility comes to nobility

53. From a house of knowledge and merit none contends
Except an envious one characterized by ignorance

54. If refined glory others attained
It is because it originated with them without refinement

55. Their abode was in the land of Andalusia
And it is said Andalusia is named in the scriptures

56. O you who has a nobility not surpassed in rank
If one seeks to rise in rank to the nobility of rank

57. And one attempts from it the meteors a position
Aspiring for the time from an unseen side to it

58. And do not despair from my hope and
Accompany its lightnings with the pouring clouds

59. And decree for the structure of a contract none befitted to dissolve except
Your judgment, for the contract without dissolution is imperfect

60. Your contract continues organized with judgment
And none besides your judgment from it is dismissed

61. Continue in disposal of what you were entrusted forever
For you, Ahmad, from it are not distracted

62. And rejoice in a son you have almost caused the envious to perish
Who came as a successor as you came with a successor

63. And leave aside the enviers, for the fire of envy consumes it
For the fire is its abode in the worldly life and in it
