٢. عَوفَ الفَوارِسِ وَالمَجا
لِسِ وَالصَواهِلِ وَالذَوابِل
3. O Awf, most forbearing of men
And most eloquent speaker
٣. يا عَوفُ أَحلَمَ كُلِّ ذي
حِلمٍ وَأَقولَ كُلِّ قائِل
4. O Awf, you were our leader
And the last of the first company
٤. يا عَوفُ كُنتَ إِمامَنا
وَبَقِيَّةَ النَفَرِ الأَوائِل
