1. O pilgrims to God's house, in which valley
And in which of your encampments is my heart?
2. Shall I remain love's captive in an alien land
While your camel driver urges on my heart among the throng?
3. An exile at the meadow weeping in his yearning
While those who shared his love have passed beyond his reach.
4. When the caravan approaches from the direction of his land
He breathes again, drawing relief from the caravan's scent.
