5. Sa'ada began to deviate from making him happy
And the lights began to flirt with the brilliance of their glow

6. While he who is streaked with grey suits his time
And his greyness matches his dignity

Hoariness condemned him before his prime

8. Many a rosy cheek in seclusion is appointed
The night of perfection though its guide shone

9. I revealed my secret need to the wine-pourer
But his forbearance and dignity refused it

Where its bartender acknowledges us with his eyelids

12. I came upon him in the springtime and passions
Had overflown in him and his rivers gushed forth

14. It dazzled with its violet and its rose beamed
Its anemones appeared and its blossoms shone

15. It remains flowering in gardens, its blossoms
Gleaming in its branches, its lights

16. In the midst of crystal glasses, wine sparkled
And its bouquet perfumed the mixing

19. His songs were melodious, his instruments gloomy
His strings lyrical and his chords euphonious

20. The eloquence of the tunes speaks
Like the buzzing of wasps over chosen nectar

21. With the excellent poetry of Satโ€™li
Whose verses extolled Muhammad

22. His sublime qualities seemed like
Pearls scattered over the companions

His deviation from the madness of love was never little

24. Until old age afflicted him and denied
The pleasures of passion and loosened his bonds

25. So he corrected his mistakes with repentance
And may his Forgiving Lord forgive his sins

26. Verily Al-โ€™Atiq have an honorable lineage
A noble house, its branches and carpenters

27. A house built with virtues, its praise in
Muhammad son of Maโ€™mar and its construction

28. I was tempted by the wideness of his shirt as if
Its buttons were knotted on the moon itself

29. Blessed by good fortune, success empowered him
Both his hands being his right and left

30. A shining forehead as if it were
The hilt of a polished sword and its scabbard

ุตุฏุฑ ุงู„ุญุณุงู… ุงู„ู…ู†ุชุถูŽู‰ ูˆุบูุฑุงุฑูู‡ู

31. His rising and resting are equal in
Benevolence, his night and day

32. His right hand planted the sapling of generosity
A tree whose fruits are sweet for the picker

ูฃูข. ุบุฑุณุช ุจุงู†ุฏุงุกู ุงู„ุณู‘ู…ุงุญ ูŠู…ูŠู†ู‡
ุดูŽุฌุฑุงู‹ ูŠู„ุฐู‘ูŽ ู„ู…ุฌุชู†ูŠู‡ ุซู…ุงุฑูู‡ู

33. His obedience may allow pride
When he enjoys scattering the pearls of wealth

ูฃูฃ. ู‚ุฏ ูŠุณุชุทูŠุน ุงู„ุงุนุชุฒุงุฒ ู…ุทูŠุนู‡
ุฅุฐ ูŠู…ุชุฑูŠ ุฏู‘ุฑู‘ูŽ ุงู„ุบู†ู‰ ู…ู…ุชุงุฑูู‡ู

34. And the reward of his left hand doubles its reward
And the oppression of time is insignificant to his neighbor

35. Generosity is of his traits and nature
And favors are his clothes and banner

36. The star is hot so its pursuit is unbearable
The sword angry so its dust cannot be cut

37. With his leadership of Azd, his lineage is honored
And Khuzaโ€™a, his pride is pure

38. The glory ascending its zenith and increase
Is in Muhammad, his Atiq, and Nazar

ุจู…ุญู…ู‘ุฏ ูˆุนุชูŠูƒูู‡ ูˆู†ุฒูŽุงุฑูู‡ู

39. In Muhammad son of Abu Al-Muโ€™ammar, all of him
His core, essence, and his best

In righteous acts show clear traces

41. They were the kings of the Jahiliyyah who secured
The possession of the faith collecting its regions

ูคูก. ูƒุงู†ูˆุง ู…ูู„ูˆูƒ ุงู„ุฌุงู‡ู„ูŠุฉ ุฃุญุฑุฒูˆุง
ู…ู„ูƒ ุงู„ุฏู† ูŠุฌุจูŽู‰ ู„ู‡ู… ุฃู‚ุทุงุฑูู‡ู

42. Through them God strengthened the religion of His Messenger
And chose them as the elite of His Prophet

ูคูข. ูˆุจู‡ู… ุฃุนุฒู‘ ุงู„ู„ู‡ู ุฏูŠู† ุฑูŽุณูˆู„ู‡
ูˆุงุฎุชุงุฑู‡ู… ู„ู†ุจูŠู‘ู‡ ู…ุฎุชุงุฑูู‡ู

43. They defended Islam between their homes
A refuge for the Prophet, so they are all his helpers

ูคูฃ. ุฐุงุฏูˆุง ุนู† ุงู„ุฅุณู„ุงู… ุจูŠู† ุจูŠูˆุชู‡ู…
ู…ุฃูˆู‰ ุงู„ู†ู‘ุจูŠู‘ ููƒู„ู‡ู… ุฃูŽู†ุตุงุฑูู‡ู

44. He stayed empowered and safe amongst them
When the desertion of the disbelievers pursued him

ูคูค. ูˆุฃู‚ุงู… ุจูŠู†ู‡ู… ุนุฒูŠุฒุงู‹ ุขู…ู†ุงู‹
ุฅุฐ ุฃูุชุจุนุช ุฎุฐู„ุงู†ูŽู‡ ูƒููุงุฑูู‡ู

45. Until he passed away and so his grave
Remained in their homes, visited by pilgrims

ูคูฅ. ุญุชู‰ ุชูˆููŠูŽ ุซู… ุฃูŽุตุจุญ ู‚ุจุฑูู‡
ุจูู†ุงุฆู‡ู… ูŠุนุชุงุฏูู‡ ุฒููˆู‘ุงุฑูู‡ู

46. This suffices them in honor that
None can deny it through any plot

ูคูฆ. ููƒูุงู‡ู… ุดุฑูุงู‹ ุจู‡ุฐุง ุฃูŽู†ู‘ู‡ู
ู„ุง ูŠุณุชุทูŠุน ุจุญูŠู„ุฉู ุฅู†ู’ูƒุงุฑูู‡ู

47. An honor that they most rightfully deserve
Who preferred the deeds of their ancestors

ูคูง. ุดุฑููŒ ู„ุนู…ุฑูŠ ู‡ู… ุฃุญู‚ู‡ูู… ุจู‡
ู…ู† ูƒุงู† ูุนู„ ุฌุฏูˆุฏู‡ ุฅูŠุซุงุฑูู‡ู

48. He is generous with his gut and spends his money
And avoids the actions of faults and defects

ูคูจ. ูŠูŽุณุฎูˆ ุจู…ู‡ุฌุชู‡ ูˆูŠูู†ูู‚ู ู…ุงู„ูŽู‡
ูˆูŠูƒูˆู† ุนู† ูุนู„ ุงู„ุนูŠูˆุจ ูุฑุงุฑูู‡ู

49. Like Muhammad who attained perfection and so
His declaration when his secrets were pure

ูคูฉ. ูƒู…ุญู…ุฏ ุญุงุฒ ุงู„ูƒู…ุงู„ ูˆู‚ุฏ ุฒูƒุง
ุฅูุนู„ุงู†ูู‡ ู„ู…ุง ุตูุง ุฅุณุฑุงุฑูู‡ู

50. He is praised for his action and avoids
Those whose abundance sufficed their effort

ูฅู . ูŠูุซู†ู‰ ุนู„ูŠู‡ ุจูุนู„ู‡ ูˆูŠุญูŠุฏ ุนู†
ู…ู† ู‚ุฏ ูƒูุงู‡ ุนู†ุงุกู‡ู ุงุณุชูƒุซุงุฑูู‡ู

51. The heart cannot praise a man
If the exclusivity of righteousness does not embrace him

ูฅูก. ูˆุงู„ู‚ู„ุจู ู„ุง ูŠุณุทูŠุน ู…ุฏุญุงู‹ ู„ุงู…ุฑู‰ุกู
ุฅู† ู„ู… ูŠูุตุจู’ู‡ู ุจุจุฑู‘ู‡ ุงุณุชูุฆู’ุซุงุฑูู‡ู

52. Demand persistently, O Abu Abdillah, the Sodad
Accumulated for others which its like is not seen

ูฅูข. ุทูู„ู’ ูŠุง ุฃุจุง ุนุจุฏ ุงู„ุฅู„ู‡ ุจุณูุคุฏูŽุฏู
ุฌู…ู‘ ู„ุบูŠุฑูƒ ู„ุง ูŠูุฑู‰ ู…ูŽุนุดุงุฑูู‡ู

53. And be felicitous for a month whose fast you performed
And the dusk of another righteous person you broke fast with
