1. The world has adorned itself and its joy
Has become stupefied, its eyes and its lamp stupefied

2. Tomorrow the seal of Omani rule will be surrendered
To him with the crown of glory and its throne

3. And if Qahtan took pride, it was due to him
Its proof, its argument, and its reasoning

4. His virtues have whitened with generosity as if they are
Clouds whose water has been filtered

5. Through him obscurities are uncovered and wealth is sought
When the world flourishes and its expanses narrow

6. To his door caravans travel and head to him
And towards his abode is its inclination and desire

7. So its flanks are safe and its poor enriched
Its afflictions uncovered and its needs met

8. Oh Abu Hassan you have lived long, O Dhahil, in hope
Through your good fortune the times’ distress will unwind

9. And the affairs of your time have willingly bowed
In the best state, its crookedness straightened
