O my craving, O my craving

12. Whoever leaves you, O my wish, has no joy
Whoever leaves you, how can he have joy

13. Without having tasted pleasure at all
Gently with your servant, gently

14. Do not prolong severity with him
For his body has withered from loving you

15. O full moon of perfection
O beautifier of people, O kohl

16. Since the sadness of estrangement pulled
My eyes have not tasted the sweetness of sleep

17. Nor the purity of a drink from a goblet
Except for passion and a smitten God

18. My body has become frail and thin from it all
And my tears down my cheek are ceaseless

19. And O my sickness, O my sickness
When will sorrow be removed from my essence

20. By being near the shy gazelles
With their kohl-lined eyes

21. As I see the domes and pulpits
And I visit the most noble of all people

22. Al-Hashimi Al-Mustafa the Messenger
Upon him be thousands of greetings
