1. With auspicious slopes of Zarood
A beauty who captivates all who see her

2. Slender and swaying like a bough
Her hair could cloak her body

3. A blossom that adorns her cheeks
Eyes embellished with her splendor

4. If the heavens take fire as fuel
She is a moon in her own land

5. I swear by the doves, I love none but her
My only goal is her contentment

6. It is I who am enraptured with passion for her
I love the pomegranate of her breast

7. And above the soil, the trace of her step
I heed not the reproach of the envious

8. It matters not, her benefit or harm to me
My eyes rain in her cheek, my witness

9. O dwellers of the heart's torment
Destroy not what you've built with distance

10. By passion's claim, my heart
Has not forgot you, though you're far

11. All your states but one
Reunion if you wish, estrangement if you refuse

12. No escaping the bonds of the eyes
A soul in thrall to its captor

13. Reproach bursts forth from its veil
My love, you've wronged me, wronged me

14. I've no savior though you blame me
How can I disavow

15. When my eyes rain in her cheek?
No testimony truer than my tear

16. To the love that holds me prisoner
No breeze blew from you

17. But stirred my slumber with longing
For she who dwells in my soul's torment

18. Draw near and let my eyes unite in joy
Or withdraw and let my eyes forget in sorrow

19. I recall our ancient covenant
When eyes were gladdened by the sight of you

20. Oh would that you might return
And save me with reunion from its fruit

21. By the honor of our Prophet Muhammad
The Hashimite of glorious renown

22. Whose love brings joy, obedience salvation
By his blessing borders are protected

23. And on Judgment Day we'll see no flame
His law adorned the cosmos
