1. I am the one perishing in love for them
So stop blaming me, stop!

2. I am the one content with them absolutely
Whether they unite or they shun

3. Hearts not purified by them
Were not purified by others

4. If they do not forgive my sin
And my lapses, then who will pardon?

5. For it is the way of the Lord to pardon
And the way of the servant to implore

6. The men of God have determined me
And O you substitutes (saints), watch over me!

7. The zeal of my heart has shed blood
So stanch it, stanch it!

8. A brilliance whosebeam has shone forth
They have wrapped themselves in its wrap

9. A brilliance beyond what they imagined
And beauty beyond what they described

10. All the lovers are enraptured by
The flashing of its radiance

11. So if asked about the meaning of what
Its reality is, they have not known

12. By it the learned are perplexed
And confounded in expressing it

13. Whether they speak ecstatically or rationally
And whether they agree or disagree

14. It is beyond what appears
And it is beyond what is hidden

15. The reality of its knowledge has frustrated
With the state of frustration they admitted
