1. O graceful gazelle
My body has melted with distance and yearning

2. O place of prostration
My time has passed in separation and scattering

3. In hardship and subjugation
When will contentment be mine, oh if only

4. None can guide me but you
I have not changed nor grown weary

5. Perfect in meaning
If you do not hasten our meeting, bring us back

6. With hopes
That enliven the heart, give meaning to longing

7. None but you, my beloved
Is our destination, O object of our desire

8. I loved you with certainty
I have not betrayed you, but have been loyal with my soul

9. O God, I ask You
Do not disappoint this hopeful supplicant

10. My hope rests in Your bounty
And he has no recourse but to hope in You

11. So great is Your perfection
No generous one rivals You in giving

12. O Generous One, Most Excellent
How generous You are in Your gifts

13. How thirsty am I
When my patience is spent and my skin chafed

14. Since the day You left
O intimate friends and beloveds

15. All else seems foreign
Without You, my longing and loss

16. What suffering and hardship
While my heart lives not nor dies

17. O Gentle One, have mercy
And do not judge me for my great sin

18. How gentle You are
I entrust myself and all my cares to You

19. I am not afraid
For You are my hope, O Abundant in Mercy

20. Thanking You, give me more
Grant my request and what I wish

21. Then send blessings everlasting
Upon the honored Prophet

22. Pearl of the Hashemites
Allah, how great his stature and might

23. Possessor of all virtues
Intercessor on Judgment Day, the foremost

24. And his noble descendants
They are the household, most eminent of all houses
