1. Greedy, you told me to be miserly
But the graciousness of the Lord of the worlds is abundant

2. Even if my tribe thinks ill of me
My faith in God is beautiful

3. I could not dishonor my high position
And hoard wealth that I do not earn

4. I am not a man who hoards money
I have no means for that

5. Rather I spent on wages and knowledge
Is that miserliness that I hear?

6. How little became plentiful from God for me
While much became little in contrast

7. You hoard money that men possess
And bear its sin as a heavy burden upon me

8. With it I will build a lofty fortress of glory
And earn reward, an excellent exchange

9. This world is no land of stay
It seems you are troubled to leave it

10. For there will come an hour when wealth has no benefit
Neither friend nor companion will avail you

11. Except for every good deed you put forward
So do good, that the Sublime may do good unto you

12. Trust in Him and think well, hopeful
Of His bounty, for God is an excellent guarantor

13. He who is honored by the Creator is revered
While he who is honored by the created is disgraced

14. The Master has guaranteed His servant
So be certain of God, an excellent guarantor

15. The best seal upon words is mention of Muhammad
So invoke blessings upon the Chosen One, an excellent messenger
