Between Aydid and Dammun

2. I wish you long life
May God not humiliate you

3. My heart longs for you
And is held ransom for your well-being

4. When will we meet
So every sorrowful one can find solace

5. Thinking of days past
Between Hawtat and Sargis

6. How splendid they were
Rivaling the beauty of Bilqis

7. Neither the full moon nor the sun when appearing
Nor Rim nor rams nor peacocks

8. The highlands and ascents
Where many a lover melts

9. O people of the Prophet's house
O people of guidance and knowledge

10. How many pure Sufis among you
And how many scholar and mystic

11. O people of loyalty and faithfulness
People of the Books and of the Scriptures

12. People of piety and reverence
For whom all people pray

13. I find no relief from anxiety
Except when I visit Bekdour

14. And Fray and its famous mosque
And the luminous dome of the Sheikh

15. Al-Aydarus, ocean of pearls
Lion of warriors and knight

16. Of their love he saw no misery
