1. You reminded me, O friend of paper,
Of our past days in Zaroud,

2. How pleasant was our life there,
Full of comfort and tranquility.

3. Will our gatherings remain as we knew them,
Filled with generosity and friendship?

4. My worries and restlessness will vanish
When we reunite after separation.

5. I long for my loved ones,
If they were to return, the sands would sing,

6. Books and pages cannot cure
A longing heart but through reunion.

7. With languid, sleepy eyes,
Yet a radiant, beautiful face,

8. He looked like the full moon in dusk,
His black curls cascading down.

9. Through time, there were many breeze-like moments
That went against what we assumed,

10. Worries and regrets would disappear
When eyes meet again in joy.

11. What was lost, God will restore,
Unlike what the deluded imagine.

12. God has endless grace and bounty,
His generosity transcends all.

13. We pray to Merciful God,
To remain our helper and benefactor,

14. Granting long life and prosperity,
A pleasant, happy, carefree existence.

15. For generosity flows from Him,
So may He grant all that one desires.

16. I conclude my prayer filling the horizon,
Blessing the Prophet again and again.
