1. For the one with kohl-darkened eyes I long
My soul I sacrifice for him from all sorrow

2. For he has no equal
He who loves and where he desires

3. They said be consoled a little
But I said by Allah there is no consoling me

4. From the one who dwells amid my heart
He whom I yearn for and whom I want

5. He is my capital and the one I benefit
My limbs belong to him and in his fist

6. Is there for the afflicted any way
My master, or will you hear my lament

7. Patience is beautiful
But your abandonment is pure affliction

8. Your blame has increased and prolonged
My blamer, in the gathering of lovers

9. His mention in any state
Is paradise even if with rebuke or blame

10. He has attained all beauty
Haram, Haram upon Saji al-Babil

11. By Allah, he has no equal
Not Hind, not Layla, not the beauty of Ali

12. I sacrifice myself for you, with all I have
And for your sake, I sacrifice in both worlds my murder

13. It pleases me, whatever you love, to humble myself
Your slave by your sword slain

14. So no wergild you fear, and necessity of claim
