4. O goodness, I forget none but you though I die in you
My delight is only to encounter my anguish

5. Through you, for you, in you, upon you, from you
Your presence in my argument, nothing else convinces me

6. At times revived by you, at times dead by you
At times spirit by you, at times corpse by you

7. If you desire a thing, nothing else matters
My livelihood owes only to your nourishing care

8. Whoever you command, I obey your command
Whoever you forbid, I forbid my desires

9. You alone we worship, the origin of pure law
You alone my Lord we ask for aid, truly

10. So in negation, negate all but you decisively
And after it affirmation, the root of my conviction

11. Say no, stop but God submitted
His throne, this the origin of all belief

12. The veil of duality was without it no duality
Nor discontent, but from my nature's station

13. The secret of human bliss was my happiness
The evil of the soul, the misery of my agony

14. Without your responding to my call, no prayer
So turn toward me, that I win the prize of repentance
