1. By your rights, I am true to our companionship
And nothing but estrangement is the purity of my affection

2. In any case, you are the origin of my desire
And whether you bring me bliss or afflict me

3. How excellent is your rebuke
And how sweet is your torment

4. Have mercy at your door
Seeker of your reward

5. A sick leader whose heart is severed by estrangement
So be generous and grant reunion, O my loved ones

6. I shed my adornment in passion for you and so
My leanness, torment by you, and my humiliation

7. I swore by the right of the Creator, the Guardian
That you hear no word of blame from me

8. Be kind in your generosity
And have mercy on your leader

9. And make happy with your joy
One who suffers from your absence

10. Still, O my masters, you are the aim of my glance
And your dwelling is at the essence of my inner depths

11. O guide of misfortunes, by Allah hurry with them
And leave them to wander on the journey and be off

12. To the blessed Tabiyah, its dwellers are serene
With the one who surpassed the best of non-Arabs and Arabs

13. Guide of guidance, truly master of all people, truthful
He ascended high, none can ascend as he did

14. Indeed, his mention, O brother, adorned my poem
So I hope through it the forgiveness of my sin and slip
