1. My sharpened sword's edge is unmatched,
Ahmad my arm is strong.

2. With it I strike the head of hostile foes,
And make firm my bond.

3. In battle it shakes mightily for us,
My word is truth.

4. It is the judge of who can stand against us,
God bears witness.

5. Our virtue bears witness in every arena,
The father's honor passed down.

6. Al-Ayderus the father, and Al-Suwayni,
Like a thousand horsemen.

7. How many mighty lions stand with me,
And many a guardian.

8. As if they thought I'd be neglected
In miserable defeat.

9. My envy will not praise you,
Nor lead to your joy.

10. You'll see which of us has the upper hand,
And who brings support.

11. The dawn of fortune has drawn near its rising,
Soon it will appear.

12. When all the stars obey it,
Though late it seemed.

13. A righteous branch, its roots and offshoots together,
Its blossoms bear fruit.

14. So rise and be sure, son of Shams al-Din,
Our war is difficult.

15. You will plunder, oh youth, and drive away,
And your son will be fettered.
