1. To where tyranny's been cast away, time of yore
And ne'er returned, days of misery and woe

2. You're gone, none weeps, how should the blind man weep
When lights the worlds with radiance overflow?

3. No wonder none lament amongst the tribe
But strange I see none smile, or laughter show

4. You came on East in its zenith glory-clad
When it with pride of all that’s good did glow

5. So you did part, none now unites but parts
And stirred dissent till only strife they know

6. You stayed, so they left home and land in droves
To every lush and arid valley go

7. Enduring, wrath supressing, shaming fearing
Nor justice seeking, cowering, laying low

8. Had he but wished, none but the worst he’d choose
For grudges filled minds with fires that glow

9. We walked with you, not craven, many the pleas
But weaker souls when lured by worldly woe

10. Not out of love, for you no virtues own
That one could love, we are no sinners tho’

11. So you remained, and ignorance better ties
For us, the truth’s survival a chance windblow

12. While none awake or wielding power but cruel
Oppressed us thirty years, capsized our boat

13. No knowledge held aloft, no truth upheld
No sanctity observed, but greed for dough

14. Naught but injustice, tyranny, and harm
You ugly in an age of manner low

15. So stranger leave, no farewells but with spears
And blades from folk you brought so low

16. By God, none but the beasts your bonds will bear
Of all mankind, should they but know

17. O constitution, welcome to the auspicious bird
The best that came, greetings free and fair

18. You rose on us an eveless star that shone
While East in gloom and darkness bowed in prayer

19. Eyes that tears flowed down smiled now unbidden
Speaking that sadness is not fixed, nor despair

20. Pens released now sing the song of love
And bring to ears of worlds the ringdoves coo

21. No more slaves unfree, bonds all cut away
No more oppressed remain that Justice bare

22. And on sad lips smiles lit with radiance
Speaking griefs and frowns do not always wear

23. We saw sorrows strike, calamity, setback
Now we see joys embrace, blessing to share

24. Some assumed the East raving, lost its mind
You, constitution, but mad dreamers snare

25. Others claimed deceit, so our Lord we seek
From the stones thrown by every false accuser there

26. You appeared, faces blackened, faces lit up
And losers all their winnings now did share

27. You'd barely come when scholars clashed on you
The Kadi famed, most just of judges fair

28. And nearly shook with fervor every arm
Of each patriot, sword and blade laid bare

29. The army only helpful course approved
And naught but harm in any army flare

30. So blessings upon soldier and leader alike
Despite the schemers spreading doom and scare

31. Still the free sing their praise throughout the lands
The Eastern men pride and joy beyond compare

32. Men of mettle, though bodies housed therein
Souls of fiercest lions, kings of mighty lair

33. With courtesy and zeal they us unchained
And from greed’s shackles freed us; evil snare

34. No unjust ruler left, no judge but just
None here judging unless justice he declare
