Your jet-black hair draped itself and settled,

And veiled the shoulders in a smooth night.

Rising above a lowered, drowsy eyelid.

Unsettling the hair whenever it whispers.

    A lovesick lover—sleep shuns me.

In the cups of night, my sleeplessness is sipped.

I steal the night for a wandering dream,

Between 'far beyond reach,' 'perhaps,' and 'may it be.'
