نَحنُwe قَطَعناwe cut off مِنfrom أَبيAbu (father of) صُفرَةٍSufra
نَحنُ قَطَعنا مِن أَبي صُفرَةٍ
قُلفتَهُhis foreskin كَيso that يَدخلَhe might enter البَصرَهBasra
قُلفتَهُ كَي يَدخلَ البَصرَه
We cut off from Abu Sufra
We cut from Abu Sufreh
his foreskin, so that he might enter Basra.
His lock so he may enter Basra
لَمّاwhen رَأىsaw عُثمانُUthman غُرمولَهُhis penis
لَمّا رَأى عُثمانُ غُرمولَهُ
آتىhe brought عَلىupon قُلفَتهhis foreskin الشَّفرَهthe blade
آتى عَلى قُلفَته الشَّفرَه
When Uthman saw his penis,
When Othman saw his loss
he brought the blade down upon his foreskin.
His lock met the blade
