لئن نَصَبتَ لي الرَّوقَينِ مُعتَرِضاً

لئن نَصَبتَ لي الرَّوقَينِ مُعتَرِضاً

لَأَرمِينَّكَ رَمياً غَيرَ تَرقيعِ

لَأَرمِينَّكَ رَمياً غَيرَ تَرقيعِ

If you raise your two horns against me in defiance,

I shall surely shoot at you, with shots that do not miss.

إِنَّ المَآثِرَ وَالأَحسابَ أَورَثَني

إِنَّ المَآثِرَ وَالأَحسابَ أَورَثَني

مِنها المَجاجيعُ ذِكراً غَيرَ مَوضوعِ

مِنها المَجاجيعُ ذِكراً غَيرَ مَوضوعِ

Indeed, from glorious deeds and ancestral honors I have inherited

through al-Majājīʿ a name never brought low.
