يُقَصِّر باعَ العامِليِّ عَن العُلا

يُقَصِّر باعَ العامِليِّ عَن العُلا

وَلَكِنَّ العامِليّ طَويل

وَلَكِنَّ العامِليّ طَويل

Al-ʿĀmilī's reach falls short of lofty heights,

Over the worker's reach is the height

And yet al-ʿĀmilī is tall.

Yet the worker endures
