  1. من فتاة احشاؤها في التهاب

    ودمعها في انسكاب

    From a maiden whose insides are aflame,

    And whose tears are pouring forth;

  2. ضاع منها العقل بين حرب وكرب

    وبكاه ولوعة وانتحاب

    She has lost her reason amid war and distress,

    And weeping, anguish, and sobbing.
