وَنَحنُ الجالِبونَ سِباءَ عَبسٍ

وَنَحنُ الجالِبونَ سِباءَ عَبسٍ

إِلى الجَبَلَينِ مِن أَهلِ القَصيمِ

إِلى الجَبَلَينِ مِن أَهلِ القَصيمِ

We are the ones who drove off ʿAbs’s captives

And we are those who bring the captives of ʿAbs

to the Two Mountains, taken from among al-Qaṣīm’s people.

To the Two Mountains from the people of al-Qaṣīm.

فَكانَ رَواحُها لِلحَيِّ كَعبٍ

فَكانَ رَواحُها لِلحَيِّ كَعبٍ

وَكانَ غُدوها لِبَني تَميمِ

وَكانَ غُدوها لِبَني تَميمِ

Their evening journey was to the clan of Kaʿb,

So their evening march was for the clan of Kaʿb,

and their morning journey was to the sons of Tamīm.

And their morning march was for the sons of Tamīm.
