قالوا صحيح فقلت كلا

قالوا صحيح فقلت كلا

ما صحّ من رشده قليل

ما صحّ من رشده قليل

They said, “He is healthy.” So I said, “No!”

They said it was true, so I said no

Little of his judgment is sound.

Little of his wisdom was sound

فإن يكن جسمه صحيحا

فإن يكن جسمه صحيحا

فقبله مدنفٌ عليلُ

فقبله مدنفٌ عليلُ

For if his body is healthy,

For if his body was healthy

then his heart [likely intended] is gravely ill and ailing.

His mind was sick and unsound
