Sol 6.1

  1. وكنت أحبّه حبّا متيناً

    فلما لجّ غيّرني علَيهِ

    And I loved him with a steadfast love.

    But when he grew obstinate, it turned me against him.

  2. لحا اللَه اللجاجة قد أضاعت

    فتىً ما كان أحوجني إليه

    God curse obstinacy! It has cost me

    A young man—how sorely I needed him!
