A fawn has kept his promise and intoxicated a soul;
Intoxicated he fulfilled, so his soul got drunk
In his sobriety he surpasses the drunken.
While sober he surpasses those inebriated

Had we heard him sing, it would have been love
Of nectar, or a sigh from maidens.
Of nectar or breaths from virgins

Becomes the revelation of a spirit that consults fate
